The Willow and Oak Story

Our studio began with a deep longing to soothe our nervous systems and a desire to return to pure, honest things made by hand- slowly, intentionally, and in harmony with nature. In a world that often moves too fast, we wanted to create an anchor for our space: a reminder to slow down, breathe, and find rest.

In pursuit of our own healing, and with an intent to slow down and connect more deeply with each other and our Creator, we discovered the rhythm of lighting 100% pure, raw beeswax candles in the evenings. This practice became a cherished ritual for our entire family. We found ourselves craving the quiet moments spent lingering in their dim glow and mild, honeyed scent.

The names we carry are touchstones of our family’s testimony: in the Willow, we find the encouragement to bend in the heaviest storms without breaking- a symbol of hope amidst sorrow. In the Oak, we find the beautiful promise of Isaiah 61:3: that He makes beautiful things from ashes, restoring and establishing us.

We hand pour every candle in our home using high quality, unrefined beeswax because we believe that the details matter. Unlike synthetic alternatives, beeswax burns exceptionally clean, while offering a gentle, hypoallergenic respite from a hyper-stimulated world. Every candle is an invitation to slow down and rest.
