To ensure your mini pillar burns efficiently and beautifully without wasting any precious wax, please practice these mindful care steps:
The First Burn: Trim the cotton wick to 1/4” before lighting. Allow your mini pillar to burn for at least 1.5 to 2 hours during its first session. Let the liquid wax pool expand across the surface to prevent tunneling and establish a clean path for future burns, but extinguish it before the wax pool melts through the outer rim. Leave about a 1/4” rim.
Daily Rhythms: For the best lifetime performance, enjoy this candle in 2 to 3-hour sessions. Smaller pillars are more sensitive to short lightings, so give it time to breathe and melt evenly.
Wick Maintenance: Keep the cotton wick trimmed to 1/4 inch. If the flame begins to flicker or produce a tiny bit of smoke, extinguish the candle, trim the charred tip, and relight.
"Hugging" the Wax: Because of its smaller 2-inch diameter, the outer walls will become soft quickly. Gently press the warm, flexible upper rim inward toward the center to ensure all the beeswax feeds the flame.
Safe Surface: Always burn your candle on a flat, heat-resistant dish or tray. Keep it safely away from active drafts, children, and pets.
